After School Care
After School Care teachers continues to strive to ensure your child(ren)’s safety to the fullest extent while in our care. To pick up your child(ren), please enter the school through the Zimpel Street Parish Hall doors beneath the red awning. The newly installed intercom (with video) is to the right of the doors. After pressing the “call” button, wait to hear a click before turning the door handle. We ask that before leaving with your child(ren), please notify one of the After Care teachers and sign out. The sign out sheet will be located on the table nearest the Zimpel Street entrance in Parish Hall. The After Care teachers move with the children and may not be located with the sign out sheet, but it shouldn’t be difficult to locate one of us, as it is imperative to make that face-to-face notification before you leave.
Important:
Children picked up from After School Care by 4:30pm. sharp will be charged $7.00 per child, per day.
Children picked up after 4:30pm. will be charged $14.00 per child, per day.
Children picked up after 6:00pm will be charged a late fee of $40.00, after 6:30pm $75.00.
After Care is meant to be a nurturing, fun, and low-key environment for your child(ren). Time is allotted to ensure that children both can play and complete homework assignments. Over the years, our goal has always been to make After Care a place where children truly have fun and thus want to stay after regular school hours. In addition, it has a unique quality in that children of all ages are interacting during free playtime. Older children are encouraged to actively seek to help out and care for their younger peers. This responsibility may manifest itself in helping others with homework or providing the much-needed companionship to those who feel lonely, uncertain, or excluded. This is a great opportunity for students to build strength of character and become shining examples of the ten Core Values of St. Andrew’s.
