2026-2027 Leadership

Dear St. Andrew’s Community,

Over the past several months, the SAES Board of Trustees, Rector, Vestry of St. Andrew’s Church, and Interim Head of School have been thoughtfully exploring how we can best strengthen St. Andrew’s and serve our students, families, and faculty for years to come. This time of thoughtful review and discovery has revealed wonderful opportunities — from deepening our understanding of the educational and social needs of our students, to expanding professional development for our faculty, and enhancing the programs and services that make St. Andrew’s such a special place.

As we move through this next phase of growth and renewal (which we expect to take one to two years), we are thrilled to share that we have found an inspiring path forward — led by members of our very own community.

Beginning with the 2026–2027 school yearReverend Annie Knazs Jung, Rector of St. Andrew’s, will expand her role to provide overall leadership for the school. In this capacity, Rev. Annie will work closely with the Board of Trustees to guide community building, strategic planning, and school governance.

We are also delighted to announce that Mrs. Shannon Bland, our current Director of Enrollment and Financial Aid, will become Principal of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. In this newly created role, Mrs. Bland will oversee the faculty and day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring our programs and classrooms continue to reflect the heart and spirit of St. Andrew’s.

The Board of Trustees could not be more excited or confident in this leadership team. Rev. Annie and Mrs. Bland bring deep experience, heartfelt dedication, and a shared vision for the future of St. Andrew’s. Together with our faculty, staff, and families, they will guide our community with strength and grace.x

As we continue this journey, we look forward to hearing from and engaging with all members of our community — parents, students, faculty, alumni, and parishioners alike. If you would like to be part of the conversation or share your ideas for the future, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Rev. Annie or Gretchen Garner, Chair of the Board of Trustees.

With gratitude and excitement,

The St. Andrew’s Board of Trustees
